Stratford on Avon district council are holding their annual Sports Awards on Jan 22 celebrating local sporting achievement for 2010 and Wakeboarding’s own Nancy Creedy has been nominated in the ‘Alternative’ Sports Person or Team of the year category. Voting closes Friday 15th January.
After only starting to compete in 2008 Nancy has gone from strength to strength, winning the Girls’ division at the Boat Nationals in 2009. Nancy was then selected for Team GB to compete in the European, African and Middle Eastern (EAME) Wakeboard Championships in Portugal where she finished 4th in the individual girls division and was part of the very successful team event where GB won Gold.
To help cement Wakeboarding as a sport in the public eye and show your support for the girls pushing it with wakeboarding in the grand spectrum of sport, please take two minutes to vote for Nancy and help inspire other young girls to take up the sport.
